The art on the cover of an album reflects the style of the artist and what their music sounds like. I don’t know if it’s coincidence, but I find that a lot of really great songs are accompanied by some equally great album art. Perhaps that’s because I’m totally anal about my album art (I can’t stand having placeholder covers in my library). Anyway, I just thought I’d share a few that always seem to pop out whenever I’m scrubbing through my library. Who knows, some of these might give you some ideas for a creative project.

Version 13
Fantikerz
Woop, new site design. How exciting. The only reason why I’m writing this is so that I can test the said design to the fullest extent. I might as well
elaborate on some things in the process. As you may know, this is based upon the wonderful WordPress application and a heavily modified P2 theme. I was reluctant to move over to WordPress, but I’m now way over that and am itching to make some of my own plugins and other extensions like that. -
19 Provocative Tracks
Fantikerz

I call a song provocative when it provokes you to think about or do something. The best ones even evoke some sort of emotion or memory, but those are rare and vary depending on the person. In this long overdue post, I outline some of my favourite provocative tracks. These usually get my juices flowing — be it for work or for play — I tend to do better after listening to these. Lame sounding, I know, but it’s true.
There’s a lot of genres here, and one of them is probably going to spike some of your interest… just take a peek inside.

10 More Awesome Songs
Fantikerz
Since my last post about outstanding songs, my collection of the said genre has grown (almost double!). So, on this gloomy day, I thought I would take the time to share them with you. Unlike last time, let’s jump in right away, and I’ll explain why each song is great as we go.
These songs are in no special order, and as always, I’ll try and make the selection as diverse as possible. If you don’t like one song, just keep going though the list and you’ll probably find something you can enjoy.

11 Catchy or Feel Good Songs
Fantikerz
All this post is about, is feel good , and catchy, songs. As a music junkie, I come across them quite often, and I even have a playlist of them on my iPod that’s 150-ish songs deep.
What makes a song catchy? A nice beat, of course, with sometimes clever lyrics. The same thing goes for the feel good songs, which will probably have some more meaningful lyrics.
I figured some of you might enjoy some songs on this Saturday morning. Here are some of the better ones, after the break…

BT: You're F*cking Awesome
Fantikerz

It seems that lately, all I’ve been posting is things relating to music. Why you ask? Well, why not? I can do whatever the hell I want to! If you don’t care about that, then come on it, and take some candy.
Alright, so let’s talk about the title. BT: he’s amazing and he’s f*cking awesome. Alright, so that covers the title. Now, let’s talk about why he’s f*cking awesome.
Well, it only just occurred to me 10 minutes before writing this, that I hadn’t established myself as a total BT fanboy on my blog yet. I couldn’t let that stay, so, here I am. Now, more to the point. BT is a musical force that has been pwning for years. So many years in fact, that you might even know some of his songs. Flaming June, Simply Being Loved, etc., being some of them.

Run Lola Run!
Fantikerz
It’s been a while since my last post, but it doesn’t matter, since no one reads this thing. Of course I’ve been busy with MechSociety, but I’ll save you the pain of that blog post for later. I’m actually here, on your internets, to whine about a German movie with lucid music and a red haired running chick.
If you’re a normal person, you wouldn’t know who Franka Potente is, but alas, I do. She’s the main character in the movie Run Lola Run (Lola Rennt in German), which I haven’t, and probably will not see. Don’t be confused though, I do want to see it, but because it’s a foreign film, it’s kinda hard to find.
Why do I want to see it? Well, from clips on teh YouTubes, you can see the simple, but immerse storyline, coupled with music by Franka Potente and friends. Really, it’s just one, gigantic German music video.
The music is the best part, and is why I yearn to see it, though. Take a listen to the song below, and tell me what you think.

Coldplay
Fantikerz
I’ve finally found my new favorite band, Coldplay. I’ve liked their music for a while, just not this much until
recently. With their 4th album to be released soon, it’s hard to believe they’ve made so many great songs. Their music is light hearted, deep, and all entangled within an awesome beat… most of the timeI’ve pre ordered their new album, Viva la Vida which promises to be promising.
Of course you’d never want to take my word on something, so take a listen to some tracks (including their latest one) for yourself, after the break.

Next RSMV: Harder to Breathe
Fantikerz
Yea, the song is Harder to Breathe, by Maroon 5. Some people out there absolutely hate
Maroon 5 with a passion, and I don’t really understand why. I mean, their music is good, depending on what mood you’re in. The same thing goes for Fallout Boy, only because their songs are sort’ve catchy. Their lyrics are crap though.Anyways… preview the song and read a little more after the break.. Just hit the Continue Reading link.

Emo Trance: New Genre of Music?
Fantikerz
I stumbled upon an awesome Flight Sim X video using some music that I can only guess is of the tribal music genre.. I bet there’s a better way of describing this type of music, but it really doesn’t matter. If you think about it, and listen to it, it could be an Emo form of trance… O_O
Want an example of what I’m talking about? Give the song below a whirl.
Wish — Franka Potente
